Maine: Federal OSHA for private employers, MDOL for public
Maine is one of six OSHA-approved state plans where the state plan covers state and municipal employees only. Private-sector Maine employers are under Federal OSHA — OllieSafe routes private workspaces to the federal recordkeeping module while preserving ME physical-state context. MDOL (the Maine Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Standards) handles public-sector enforcement under MRS Title 26 §§42-A et seq.; OllieSafe's public-sector substrate for Maine is on the roadmap but not in this launch. Maine Workers' Compensation is governed by the Maine WC Board under MRS Title 39-A.
